This week BABC-GA hosted a panel discussion on Data Privacy, Data Security, and Cyber Crime.  We put together a strong panel of industry and government leaders to discuss a topic that should be at the top of minds for all executives.  Thank you to our wonderful panelists, Chris Moore (DIT UK), Jay Indrakumar (CTO WellStreet), Chris Holcombe (Director Cyber Security at WellStreet), Allen Look (Look IT Consulting), and Barry Hensley (VP Cyber Threat Prevention at SecureWorks).

Our conversation focused mainly on how to defend against cyber crime and bad actors as Mr. Hensley rightly pointed out that you “cannot build a perfectly secure network but you can certainly defend against threat”.  In addition, the panel and attendees learned about how to navigate around the lack of unified global regulatory policy in this space and how it is vital for organizations to develop their own standards to ensure protection of their systems.

Thank you to our sponsors for bringing these informative and valuable events to life, CentelliVertical Capital Advisors LLC and Arnal Golden Gregory for the great venue.

We had so much fun celebrating the end of an impactful and successful year at the BABC of GA, with all our members and friends and of course our wonderful host, Her Majesty's Consul General, Rachel Galloway.

Here are just a few of the good times that were captured by our BABC photographer Jawaniecika Bryant of Inspire to Elevate Media. To view more images please reach out to Jawaniecika directly.

A huge thanks goes to Kim Gunbie for organizing the event to make it a success. Equal gratitude and thanks goes to our wonderful sponsors and friends at Delta and Virgin Atlantic for giving us the prizes of the night (airline tickets of course!) and thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed the evening.

We want to wish all our friends a Happy Holiday season and we look forward to ringing in the new year with more events to meet at.

On Thursday, Oct 27, UK Consul General, Rachel Galloway and BABC hosted an amazing breakfast conversation discussing the current global economic environment, US/UK continued trade talks, and fossil fuel energy shifts in policies specifically within the UK.

Many thanks to Consul for sharing her global experience and answering questions from the many industry leaders in attendance.  The event was attended by over 30 BABC members and non-members representing a diverse list of businesses based in Georgia and/or the UK.

Thanks to SOHO Media Group and Centelli for sponsoring this fantastic event.
