Pride Parade

The British Consulate-General Atlanta is looking forward to representing the UK Government in its fifth year of participation in Atlanta Pride. As one of the most progressive countries in Europe for LGBT rights, with more than 60 annual Pride events held in cities across the UK and 26 cities across the Americas, active participation in local Pride events demonstrates the UK’s global leadership as advocates for LGBTQ+ and human rights.

Note the following itinerary for Atlanta Pride:

Sunday, 13 October
~11:00 a.m. Parade Assembly
Meet the British Consulate-General at the staging area near the Civic Center MARTA Station. Guides from the British Consulate will be placed at the Civic Center MARTA Station exit. Monitor the Consulate’s Twitter and channel at @UKinAtlanta on the day of the parade for information on the group’s location.

At this time, members of the British contingent will receive Love Is GREAT t-shirts, costumes (optional), flags, banners, signs, balloons, beads, temporary tattoos, and more as promotional collateral. A photographer will also be on hand to capture images of the group during staging and marching.

3:00p.m. Afternoon Tea and Rooftop Drinks Reception
Join us along with contingents from Canada, Wales, and Québec after Atlanta Pride for a Reception at the Hotel Clermont and the announcement of the winners of our silent auctions.
